  • How do I get a quote for a Home Survey or Valuation?
    To receive a quote go to our quick quote page and submit your details to receive an instant quotation. The more information you provide, the more accurate our quotes are. Alternatively, give us a call on 01695 355005.
  • Can I accompany the Surveyor during the inspection?
    Unfortunately, due to insurances, we cannot allow clients to attend the inspection. We do however encourage all clients to speak to their Surveyor after they have received and reviewed their report.
  • How do I know which survey I need?
    We have created a guide to help you decide which survey is more suitable for the property you are looking to purchase. See our Help & Advice section for more details. Alternatively, send us an email at and we will have one our Surveyors contact you so that you can talk through which would be more suitable and why.
  • What is the expected turnaround for my report?
    Following inspection of the property, we aim to return all reports within 3 business days. You will receive a PDF copy of your report via email.
  • How quickly will my survey be booked in?
    We aim to book all surveys within a week of you instructing Walker Dunn. However, as our surveys require access to the property we rely on the Vendor/Agent/Tenant to be available so that we can gain access. In order to move your sale along quickly, make sure to book your survey in early and we will do everything in our power to make this part of the process easy.
  • Why have I not received my report on the same day as my inspection?
    Your mortgage valuation is submitted to your mortgage lender on the day of the inspection as this is done via an iPad. The HomeBuyer Report and Building Survey are more detailed inspections which require typing up following the inspection. We want to ensure that your report is comprehensive however we do aim for a very quick turnaround of 3 business days. You're unlikely to find a faster turnaround!
  • Are your surveyors qualified?
    All of our surveyors are Members or Fellows of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). They also all hold a VRS certificate which is compulsory for undertaking valuations.
  • Will my survey include a valuation?
    Not all surveys include valuations. The HomeBuyer Report includes a market valuation along with a reinstatement cost for insurance purposes. The Building Survey does not include a valuation as standard. However, valuations can be provided on request for an additional fee.
